Business Need 

With increasing number of models the training curriculum days for Technicians is on continuous increase for every OEM. Longer curriculum needs more classrooms, more trainers and higher training budgets. While conducting training sessions on major repairs, training on use of special tools takes a large part of classroom time. It is also seen that due to paucity of classroom time, trainers tend to spend less time on demonstrating the use of special tools. This impacts the training effectiveness and repair quality.

Our Solution 

To cater to this need Blend Consulting offered to create a series of 150+ Video Based Training (VBT) modules for the entire range of special tools to two of the leading passenger car manufacturers of India. The videos were aimed to equip the OEM trainers and dealer in-house trainers with high quality resource to demonstrate the use of special tool in accurate way. 

Results 

The videos helped the customer to reduce the classroom time to train on special tool usage. The time saved can be used to reduce the session duration or increase the training topics. The videos are now available at each dealer as a valuable resource for inhouse training or as a reference material for use, as and when needed.
